Nursery and Green Preschool Yarning Mats
Children, educators and families have been working collaboratively in the Nursery and Green Preschool to create Yarning Mats to use when Acknowledging Country and to encourage engaging in group learning experiences.
A circle has been traditionally used in Aboriginal culture for group connections and provides the most inclusive way to communicate.
Educators have listened to children’s voices and used their ideas to shape the design of the Yarning Mats and involved them in each step of the process.
